JETTY BETTY by Biz Allen
I am a Pirate Princess at the Helm-
Navigate the waters, I do…
but not toward a calm open blue.
Along the rocky shore I steer,
though this path mere mortals fear.
for Life is a bob and weave dance-
and in calm waters there is no chance
To test my mind, my characters resolve.
it’s to the rocks I’ll take it all.
I can
I will
I’ll be set free…
The ship I sail, the vessel I chose
on it’s deck, wrapped in it’s shape, I’ll risk it all
and never lose
I’ll risk it all, and risk is why
I’ll never lose…
Risk it all and never lose.

REDEFINE by Taz Riggs
Wallace is cruel
Wallace is kind
It does not wish
To be defined
Wallace is sleepy
And wide awake
It puts you to bed
And keeps you up late
Wallace is old
Wallace is young
It might slip you
A cold wet tongue
Wallace can hold you
Or push you away
It knows how to punish
It knows how to play
It does not love you
It does not care
‘Bout the name on your boat
Nor the length of your hair
Wallace is hungry
And way over fed
Knows what you’re thinking
Heard what you said
Wallace is pleasure
Wallace is pain
In bright sunshine
Or cold driving rain
Wallace is ugly
And cute as hell
A slow moving whirlpool
Or a big giant swell
Wallace is angry
Oh so content
To send you downstream
Your ego well bent
Cause of your troubles
Place of it’s glee
Hold breath count bubbles
And know you are free
If you know Wallace
You have not met
The pure joy of life
Nor the pang of death
I did not start this
It will not end
You write the next verse
Then pass to a friend…

PERFECT DAY  By Tony Pfiffner
Goin’ down the river, been fishing all the day
Gonna climb that mountain that I see along the way
Gonna take my time, getting to where I don’t have to be.
Don’t know the time and I sure don’t know the day
Other precious things like that, I think I lost along the way
Done lost the feeling, and I think that I forgot my name.
And I sure enjoy being this way
All the precious things that damage me seem to vanish all away
And how I do love the day
You know the lords been good to me, I don’t need the light see my way.
Goin’ down the river, I done drank the night away
Got a bottle of whiskey and a pillow made of hay
Got me a fine guitar that I think will suit the songs I play.
And I sure enjoy being this way
All the precious things that damage me seem to vanish all away
And how I do love the day
You know the lords been good to me, I don’t need the light see my way.
